There have been a number of posts refering to a s/s plate that is mounted under the mast and can be used for attaching a boom vang, halyards, etc. The concensus also seems to be that M&E Marine is the place to go.
I want one of these for my CD28 so I called and the person on the other end didn't know what I was talking about. Can someone provide me with their description and, hopefully, part #?
They are apparently in liquidation and are not sending out catalogs. Sounds like a loss to the CD community.
Thanks in advance, Chris

Re: Mast/Halyard Plate
before ordering from Dwyer, be aware that they have two styles of these plates and only one is shown in the catalog. One is best suited to a mast that is stepped on a hinged tabernacle. Give ' em a call and they'll tell you the right one.John M. wrote:Chris Holme wrote: There have been a number of posts refering to a s/s plate that is mounted under the mast and can be used for attaching a boom vang, halyards, etc. The concensus also seems to be that M&E Marine is the place to go.

Re: Mast/Halyard Plate
The M & E catalog lists it as a "Halyard Plate". The part numbers are 43821 for the 3 1/8 X 4 1/2, 43822 for the 4 5/8 X 5 5/8, and 40570 for the 5 1/4 X 7 1/2. I installed the large size on my CD 30 in 1994 and have been very satisfied with it.Chris Holme wrote: There have been a number of posts refering to a s/s plate that is mounted under the mast and can be used for attaching a boom vang, halyards, etc. The concensus also seems to be that M&E Marine is the place to go.
