Mast/Halyard Plate

Post by Chris Holme »

There have been a number of posts refering to a s/s plate that is mounted under the mast and can be used for attaching a boom vang, halyards, etc. The concensus also seems to be that M&E Marine is the place to go.
I want one of these for my CD28 so I called and the person on the other end didn't know what I was talking about. Can someone provide me with their description and, hopefully, part #?
They are apparently in liquidation and are not sending out catalogs. Sounds like a loss to the CD community.
Thanks in advance, Chris

Look at Dwyer Aluminum Mast company: www.dwyermast.com
Look under PLATES for Dwyer part number.

before ordering from Dwyer, be aware that they have two styles of these plates and only one is shown in the catalog. One is best suited to a mast that is stepped on a hinged tabernacle. Give ' em a call and they'll tell you the right one.

The M & E catalog lists it as a "Halyard Plate". The part numbers are 43821 for the 3 1/8 X 4 1/2, 43822 for the 4 5/8 X 5 5/8, and 40570 for the 5 1/4 X 7 1/2. I installed the large size on my CD 30 in 1994 and have been very satisfied with it.
