For what it'sworth, I bought a Northstar 16.5 b for my boat for $70 with shipping. I took it in to Westmarine and compared the two side by side, they are vertually identical in materials, shape and fluke angles. Northstar warranties their anchors 100%. Check The Sail Warehouse, they have them and their prices are reasonable. I just got a new Rolly Tasker main sail from them for $600.

Thru hull transducer
Ok, I have installed my Hummingbird depth sounder, per many recommendations...The transducer is in a mineral oil bath affixed to the hull near the old transducer mount. Trouble is, it ony registers 1.5 ft, wont shoot thru the glass, any ideas here???

We had a helluva blow here last Saturday and the boat took a serious pounding against the dock. I lost about three ft of port toe/rub rail. Rather than replace the whole thing, I'd like to cut a new piece and lap it in. Anyone have a pattern handy? Anyone with experience in this? Also, the guy at Ed...

GLUE IN TRANSDUCERS
Anyone have any experience with them in your CD's? I'm looking at purchasing a new digital depthsounder with a inside hull transducer and using my old hole for a paddle wheel speed indicator.... I'm concerned that the hull thickness would degrade preformance....
