Fish storms

Roberto,

Don’t you love these fish storms?

BTW. I saw a commercial over the weekend that Guinness is the official beer of Notte Dame, the Irish.

Re: Here we go again

Roberto, Thanks for your concern. The Generac doesn't use petrol. It uses natural gas, same as my stove and heating system. So I don't have to scrounge and transport petrol. Don't know how much that would take for nine or ten days. We're supposed to have power tomorrow but when I look around I don't...

Re: Here we go again

Made it out to the marina this morning. Kumbaya is fine. Most boats looked OK. I saw one boat that lost a mast. Several boats that had jibs on their furlers had damage. All in all we came off pretty well. Even starting to see some gas stations open but REALLY LONG lines, some blocks long. Many groce...

Re: Here we go again

Well into cleanup. Will be a while before we get power from Entergy. It's starting to trickle into parts of Nola. Starting to have some groceries open. Bares shelves and long lines but that will improve. Also a few gas stations in operation, long lines there. They're telling every that can to leave ...

Re: Here we go again

I'm ok. Been doing clean up. No major damage to house but lots of trees and tree limbs down. No power from Entergy, but we have a Generac home generator. We have a trickle of water, so we're good. Don't know when groceries or gas stations will be open. Almost all of New Orleans is out of electricity...

Re: Here we go again

So far so good. Ida made landfall a few hours ago and looks like she'll pass about 40 miles west of us. Kumbaya is at Municiapal Yacht Harbor now. It took almost 15 years after Katrina to get it back in full operation. Good news is it's all floating docks, so no need to worry about dock lines. Just ...

Roberto,

Batten down the hatches. Kumbaya is still battened down from Claudette.

Re: Hey Roberto!

Good to hear from you again, Roberto.

Being on the wrong side of 70 isn't too bad as long as you're on the right side of the grass.

I can attest to it.

Re: Hey Roberto!

Please keep us posted.
Have you checked with the Guinness distributor in Florida to see if there's been a drop off in consumption?
