Fish storms

Post by Capt Hook »

Roberto,

Don’t you love these fish storms?

BTW. I saw a commercial over the weekend that Guinness is the official beer of Notte Dame, the Irish.

Captain Hook:

I must admit I was worried about (and remain worried about) both "Pete" and "Rose". You will well remember the October storms that do "loopti loops"; a technical meteorological term much like "fish storms" and these fish storms offen behave like Aboriginal boomerangs. :!: :!: :( :(

As someone previously posted, NOAA/NHC has a sense of humor in naming these two "Peter" and "Rose". I always kinda like Rose (a/k/a "Mr. Hustle"). He loved the game. But I am disappointed by what he did.
Fair winds,

Captain Hook:

Sadly, I just looked at Peter's projected path and it looks like Bermuda may not think of Peter as a "fish storm". They are going to get TS winds or higher this weekend.

Captain Hook:

The system just off the African coast right now (soon to be called "Sam") at about 30W/10N is one that should worry us all. It is far enough south and East at this point so that it can make a run right up the slot (a/k/a "Hurricane Alley"). Sadly, I do not think soon to be Sam will be a "fish storm". I'm getting an itch in the back of my neck that says that Sam is going to be a "Florida storm". I hope I am very wrong.

If there’s a “fish storm” in the mid-Atlantic and there’s no one there to hear it does it still make a sound. :?
