Sailing! Roller furler issues done, and loving it! Facnor LS 60, working great.... AND I will be able to easily change over to a genoa when it's time. Working jib from North Sails is what it is. And apparently was designed to sheet inside of the shrouds, which actually was ok. I am overall very happ...

Re: report on furler and sails
This is excellent, thank you! And I'm not too discouraged. We're learning a lot this year and I still love my Ty! I just hope to do well by her eventually.

Re: report on furler and sails
Very interesting Peter, and I'm glad you are ok. Nick from North Sails came out to look at my new sails on the boat. We are happy with the main (of note, it is loose footed.) Mystery solved as to my jib size. The sized it so that the sheets go INSIDE the shrouds, stating something about angles, trac...

Re: report on furler and sails
Yes I saw that pretty boat and the light. Hope to get some sailing in this weekend! Nick from North Sails is coming over on Thursday to check out my sails. The new furler is working great.

report on furler and sails
Finally sailing! Still with a couple of glitches, but don't care! Just wanted to get out there--we sailed her home late on Friday night from boat yard--reached mooring in the dark, very exciting! It was beautiful, and more safe because no one was out. We didn't plan on such a late sail, but it took ...

Re: Typhoon Doohickey
Little Red is classic white with red boot stripe and red trim (cushions, sail cover.) Kept her name from previous owner as my dog is a reddish goldendoodle and very cute. We hope to go sailing with him in "his boat." Now back to the doohickeys....

Re: new Ty jib and roller furling help
Thanks everyone. I started out asking for a 130 jib, but I let him talk me out of it. And I do have genoa tracks but I didn't mention it because I didn't know enough, so maybe that is why he thought it wouldn't fit. Any thoughts on if I keep the RF jib as is, how to best use it and still be able to ...

Re: new Ty jib and roller furling help
I think I made a mistake when I said I wanted a 130 jib and he said that it "wouldn't fit," but would have the sail designer make it a "large as possible." He was a young kid, probably new, and I just couldn't understand why he didn't know anything about typhoons, I sent him what...

I know this boat! Wasn't it moored near Standish? I remember liking the color.
