I think he meant local.
I assumed LCOL stood for: Low Cost Of Living

Re: Need Standing Rigging Specs Typhoon

CDSOA has a copy of the 1981 manual to download. Specs for standing and running rigging are near the end.

Re: Let's Build a Laminated Tiller

Once you glue and clamp the strips, they should retain the shape. I have aways heard that you should use, air dried wood, instead of kiln dried for bending. Most of the wood, l have is local air dried stuff, so l have no direct experince with kiln dried wood. I concur with Steve. Kiln-dried can be ...

Very impressive process. You and your spouse(?) have it down to a science. I couldn't tell if the 2 locals who wandered onto the scene were more help or hindrance. Anyway thanks for that! A very entertaining watch.

It's a very early Weekender (hull #6). The owner posted it for sale here: http://www.capedory.org/board/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=38536

Too true!

That's a really early boat. Note the wooden bulkheads and wooden cockpit benches. Probably worth saving -- just at what cost. Hopefully you're handy and motivated.

Re: Transport advice

Rent a pickup from U-Haul for the day and tow it yourself? Down and back to Irvington is easily done in one day (2.5 hrs each way). Or splurge and spend the night at the Tides Inn! Good luck and enjoy the new boat. We love ours.

I know she's not in the water yet, but it looks like it's soup to me. So, I want to thank you for this epic thread.
