Elaine,

how did you silksceen the image? Is it as simple as either using a
scanner and placing the panel on the scanner?

Thanks
Bob

Congrats...

Have a lot of fun with her... I splashed out Intrepid yesterday

boat on hold!

Cetol. will desolve the adhesive in Blue tape

The adhesive will be penetrated within a matter of hours. We had some issues with cetol on the fiberglass because Cetol ate the adhesive and then went under the edge of the tape... not too bad but the cetol is not going anywhere soon...

YSM Generator - wiring schematic

Someone is not having a good day (year) I had my generator rebuilt Apr 2006 and then had a bypass surgery in June so the boat did not go in and the generator stayed in the car trunk for the year... Then we moved to a new house which we JUST finished renovating and addition... it was the house I grew...

what a shame

What a shame that his boat was damaged because of the lack of competance of the boat yard. The ground must have been VERY soft to have the jackstand sink this much to do so much damage... I place large plywood triangles under my jackstands plus a large block setup under the keel for many winters and...

Cradle/ jack stands

Hi Bob, I think this is completely a financial question. I think that support on a cradle "may" be better but have not found any issue with Jackstands... Here is the financial question: 1. What is the price of the jackstands (you can get a used set for probably $300)? 2. What is the price ...

Trailer snafu

I agree with John on his comment about the trailer. It is now around 4000 but when looking for a trailer for the Balboa with a 3500 lb displacement, all there was, was junk on the market which is common even today. I suppose you can get a cheap 2000 lb displacement trailer out there but not the case...

why do this?

I purchased a Balboa (1973) a few years back that was on stands because I did not want to moor a boat and the expense. I then purchased a Honda 9.9 (about 2000)... and then I had a wonderful Triad Trailer built (3600) and then the refurb work cost about 1500. I learned a HUGE amount in doing the wor...

I also have lazy jacks

Mine were completely warn out so replaced them with 1/4" line . I find it very easy to send a novice up to release the main sail and to pull it down and have the sail collected... If it is windy, we can simply put a sail tie around everything and clean it up once on the mooring. The only thing ...

Blue tape and Cetol

Just a cautionary word about 3M blue tape,... put it on, get the cetol coat on and take it off. Many discussions on other boards of how the blue tape adhesive is left behind after a short period of time 3-5 days. The conclusion that I came to is that it is NOT the length of time... I have left on fo...
