YSM Generator - wiring schematic

Someone is not having a good day (year)

I had my generator rebuilt Apr 2006 and then had a bypass surgery in June so the boat did not go in and the generator stayed in the car trunk for the year...

Then we moved to a new house which we JUST finished renovating and addition... it was the house I grew up in so this is good...

Well 90% is still packed including my yanmar manual...8-(

When I took the generator out , I used white electrician's tape to mark the terminal... I went out this morning and they were attached and still marked... so what's the problem?

I went to church and left the drip light on which melted two of the three tags....

SO on the generator there is three terminals (B, L and E)

The B goes to the red wire (I got that tag,..) there are two other wires (Solid black and white with an orange stripe)

Can someone get a light in thiers and see which is which? The engine has not run for a year and I splash next weekend so I am in a little pickle right now! [Marblehead -> Salem harbor next Monday]

The Yanmar YSM12 will also have this on the schematic...

Hey Bob,

I just removed my engine and marked everything. I have to run a few errands. When I get home, I'll checkm my notes and give you the color wires to letters. I too have the YSM. Soon to be the 2YM 15.

OK OK I procrastinated the errands. At least I have my priorities in ordr. Boat first

Black Wire = E
Red/White small wire = L
Bigger solid red wire = B
