typhoon stuff for the taking
I have the original blue w/white piping v-berth cushions plus potty insert cushion. Wait, there's more. The original five foe wood grain bilge covers. Everything is in pretty good shape and must go. I am happy to send them to anyone that is willing to pay the shipping or pick them up locally. I'm in...

Re: Boarding ladder for Typhoon?
I believe I use the four step with the standard 2.5" stand off. I understand it's a bit pricy'. I willing to go without the caviar for a weekend to pay for it I was so desperate for a solution. . Robert, I'm sorry . I should have warned the site was totally sexist, objectified women in a shamef...

Re: Boarding ladder for Typhoon?
Hi Everyone, Early in this thread I posted that I use this ladder on our Ty. http://www.up-n-out.com/boat-ladders/#p ... el-hook-on We use the hook on version that you will find at the link. We hook it over the toe rail along side the jib winch, and tie it off for safety. They come in different size...

Re: CD22, crane/travelift slings & Triad Trailer
On our Ty we just tip the boat forward just enough to slip the sling on or off. I think you will find that the boat wants to tip forward on the curve of the keel and your forward supports stops this from happening to any great extent. However with just a little play or looseness in the upfront suppo...

Re: Boarding ladder for Typhoon?
Guys,
I have found this to work very well for me. http://www.up-n-out.com/boat-ladders/#p ... el-hook-on
The hook on version fits over the toe rail, then tie off to a cleat or what ever.

Re: replacing headstay inside furler
You have it exactly right. Cut the the stay put the new one in without the terminal then replace the terminal.
I did this two years ago on our Ty.
Regards,
Randy

Re: Tiller Clutch
I have one on our Ty. I think it works really well. Easy to use and it is low profile which I also like. Got my at Defender. Might be a better price.

Re: Typhoon Screws for Teak Strips at the edge of cockpit se
They are screws but they may not bight when you put them back in. Having them be a little long so that you can have them bite into a small block of wood behind the fiberglass may be necessary for some. Sort of like a backing plate. Depending on your boat the blocks may be in place already.

Re: Outboard Counter Weight for Typhoon
I say it can't hurt. We all know how moving body weight around on a TY effects trim greatly so a fifty pound bad of sand in just the right place probably will help in this case with just one person on board. But I agree that the real answer would be to get a lighter engine when the time is right. As...

Re: Interior veneer
As Tim stated. It depends on specifics of the situation. Pictures would help. However. The first think I would do is figure how it's getting wet. Is there a leak that is working its way down to that spot? If so you want to fix that before repairing the wood. If it gets wet just with the normal traff...

Re: replacing typhoon wknder solid stainless stern rub rail
I will try to remember to measure the wood next time I'm at the boat. Feel free to bug me if I forget. But if I were to guess I would say the vertical piece is about an inch and a quarter and the horizontal piece is about three inches. I do recommend the notched outboard mount. It does help keep the...

Re: replacing typhoon wknder solid stainless stern rub rail
Sorry this is the only picture I have of the the stern. If you zoom in on the photo you can see that the wood piece on the top edge of the poop deck is contoured to match the curve of the stern and is in two pieces, split close to the chain plate in the center. It is more or less a straight piece th...
