CD22, crane/travelift slings & Triad Trailer

Just ordered a Triad Trailer (lift off model) for my CD22, looking forward to doing some work at home..

What I can't figure out us the rear sling placement. It appears (from some pictures I have see. On the web...)the keel support runs the length of the keel so how can you remove the rear sling??

May need to jack the boat up to remove the sling. And to place it in the Spring.

On our Ty we just tip the boat forward just enough to slip the sling on or off. I think you will find that the boat wants to tip forward on the curve of the keel and your forward supports stops this from happening to any great extent. However with just a little play or looseness in the upfront supports will allow you to tip the boat forward and slip the sling.

When ever Rhapsody has a date with the lift, she has two processes. If she's being unloaded, I use the jack stands to pick her up just enough for the sling to slide under the keel.

When returning to the trailer I use a 4x4 to set the for the keel to rest on and then we move the sling aft of the rudder, pick her up just a schoosh and we remove the 4x4 and set her on down.

I have had GOOD lift operators who can pick her up with the aft sling located just aft of the rudder and move her. In all cases the slings are time together.
