Looking for sailing opportunities in San Francisco bay Area
Good afternoon to all! I have a question for anyone out in the San Francisco Bay area. My son is graduating from Michigan State University and is relocating from Michigan to the SF Bay area this spring . He loves to sail and I was wondering if anyone has advice or some contacts at local clubs where ...

replacement stanchions
Just wondering does anyone know a supplier that carries the 1x24" stanchions common on a lot of our boats. West and Defender carry a 1x24" that is actually 1 x25" and the holes are alligned slightly different. I can always cut it down but the same configuration would be nice. Thanks,P...

Does anyone know the stanchion size for a CD33, is it 1" x 24"" or 1" x 26".
I'm not at the boat and would like to save a trip. Thanks, Paul

2nd owner
We purchased Willow then Moccasin in 1995 and sailed her home from Oxford Maryland to her new home in Michigan. We are the 2nd owner and she will hopefully stay in the family for many years to come. Best wishes to all for a safe, healthy and happy New Year. Paul

rendezvous
Bruce, I keep Willow at markley's on the Clinton River and would definitely be interested in meeting with the eastern lakes fleet.

stove/ oven choice
Hi Mike, I'm one of those guys who got rid of the oven, replaced it with an Origo two burner alcohol stove top. Saved space, weight easy to use and almost anything I ever tried to bake before I can somehow make a reasonable substitute in a pressure cooker. I haven't found a problem with the speed of...

sleeps seven
Having cruised a CD33 for 15 years I think the seller is stretching that "sleeps seven comfortably" line, unless perhaps they are wee-little people. A great boat but for sleeping, four are comfortable any more becomes somewhere between, cozy, intimate and annoying, sometimes all in the sam...

Thanks
Steve, Thanks for the feedback, I like the idea of eliminating as many hoses, clamps etc as possible. When you build that rum tank, be sure to post a few photos. Take care and have a Happy Thanksgiving, Paul

water tank question
Carl & Steve, Ok this may be a rather simple question, but if you don't use your deck fittings to fill your tanks, do you simply run a hose down and fill through the inspection plates or have you rigged something else to eliminate that process. I've often thought of removing all three deck fitti...

battery location
Willow also had the batteries aft of the old water heater, with all that weight aft I relocated them. Having three water tanks seemed more than I needed on the Great Lakes consequently I removed the amid ship tank on the starboard side and created storage for three batteries plus my tools and spare ...

head sink question
Hey folks I have a hopefully simple question. On my CD 33 the head sink spicket with shower hose diverter has sprung a leak. I've checked my local home depot for a replacement but no luck. Has anyone found a replacement for that system, if so where might I look. Thanks for any help you can offer, Pa...
