Reprinted Cape Dory Owner's Manual
I have not been sailing for many years now and would like to offer this Cape Dory Yachts Manual reprint to another owner. This manual is 100 pages and has a lot of specs for Typhoons through CD 30K. All that I need is the cost of mailing to anyone in the USA from Old Orchard Beach, Maine 04064. I ow...

Three Alberg 22 Foresails for Sale
Fellow sailors, I have three foresails that are from my Alberg 22 for sale. The Alberg was sold in 2015 and I had installed a roller furling tanbark sail so the hank-on sails were not used by me. Hopefully someone else can use these sails. I will also list them on the Cape Dory website for use on a ...

Re: Alberg 22 for sale in Maine
SOLD !!
Will be sailing out of Chatham, MA on Cape Cod so look for the tan bark sails and possibly the large yellow spinnaker. This has been a good boat for me and will be a fun boat for the new owner.
Now for a new hobby......
Regards, Ron

Re: Alberg 22 for sale in Maine
Steve, my Alberg sails very much like your Ty Weekender but better! I sailed Typhoons for about 8yrs before growing to the Alberg 22 and although longer and heavier, the sailing characteristics are very similar. If you'd like to move up, drop me a line and we'll make a plan to give you a sail test d...

Alberg 22 for sale in Maine
Alberg 22 for sale. This is very similar to a CD Typhoon Sr and has a well mounted outboard. I am retiring from sailing. Full package, sailboat, motor, trailer, dinghy and motor. I have added roller furling system and a 135% genoa. The sail inventory has a hank on genoa and a spinnaker which I never...

Re: CD Typhoon question about spreader/tang
Julie, I wonder if the spreader was not setup perpendicular to the mast? My Typhoons had stainless steel wire wrapped around the stay on both sides but loose enough to allow the spreader to slip into a perpendicular position on the mast. The spreader forces should directly inward on the mast and if ...

Re: Single handed Typhoon tiller
I have an Alberg 22 and had two Typhoons. I sail single handed mostly and so have added a roller furling genoa. When the sail trim is needed, I heave-to, which is an excellent way to settle these boats, and then shorten or drop the mainsail. Then the roller does the shortening of the genny. Ron

Re: How to keep motor clean?
Hmmmmm Markst95, that is an interesting solution but I will also need to cut open the well into the cockpit so the motor can rotate. Those are not major tasks and could be the best solution. What model is your boat? It does not look like an Alberg design but is very good looking!
Thanks, Ron

Re: How to keep motor clean?
Thanks Northoceanbeach, I have been schooled and will try to get tough enough the work in the Maine waters. I did watch for growth during July but it came on fast in August and before I knew it, the boot stripe and motor were covered. I love sailing and dislike the maintenance during sailing season....

Re: How to keep motor clean?
Megunticook and Darin (aka drb9), thanks for the responses and your unique solutions. I prefer the bag solution but I will have to read and think about it more to fully understand how to implement. Darin, do you have any photos to help my thought process? I wonder if any bag could be used and then, ...

How to keep motor clean?
I have an outboard motor sitting in a well and have a wealth of growth and shelled creatures making their home on the motor. With my Typhoon, motor was raised when not in use but the Alberg 22 has the well which I like for clean lines but the creatures are impacting the motor function. Last week the...

Re: WTB: Typhoon Roller Furling Jib and Hardware
Hi Chris, not sure I understand the comment because the furler rides on your fore stay and has the same adjustment as if the furler was not mounted. You can snug up your fore stay and then tighten the aft stay for tightness if needed. The furler is a "plastic" type of material extrusion as...

Re: WTB: Typhoon Roller Furling Jib and Hardware
Hello Chris, I installed two CDI Furlers on two Typhoons and never had a problem. I suggest getting CDI-1 with the ball bearing option and here is a web site for you.
