Sorry for the delay in answering; been busy showing the boat! I used Interlux Brightsides Polyurethane. Sort of overkill for interior surfaces, but it did a nice job. Since I was covering the original dark fake teak laminate, I first used the Interlux Pre-Kote Primer, two coats, I think.

Kevin, These are just what I needed! If you can get some measurements this weekend, that would be fantastic: Width and length when fully extended; height above the cabin sole and height above the setee cushion; when fully extended into the cabin, is the table centered or offset to port or starboard?...

Thanks! Do you have one? If so, how did you handle the mounting of the drive pin on the tiller, which is at quite an angle relative to the (apparently) ideal vertical if mounted at 18 inches from the center of rotation of the rudder stock?

Thanks, Bob. I'll keep an eye out there. Hope I can get some pictures, too, with details of mouinting. I will need a table that can slide from being stowed over the setee out towards the middle of the cabin.

I have a 1974 CD28 (Pu'uhonua) here in Annaopolis. I want to replace the post-mounted salon table with a bulkhead mounted one. I would really appreciate information (and pictures!) about how this is done on other 28's (or 30's), as well as any leads about where to get a table that can be converted. ...
