Where I sail, the Ty is usually the smallest boat, so I feel safe having lots of taller masts around. But really, when you look at all the boats in the marina, I know of only one strike there in 20+ years, and there are lots of T-storms. There seem to be lots more hits on golfcourses & baseball ...

My Ty (sounds like an adult beverage!) also has a traveler located in the same place as the photos. However, it's about a 1970 vintage, looks very cool, but is not user-friendly. You have to unbolt the car, move the car, then bolt it back down. It's for appearance only.

Could someone describe the set up for me? How high on the mast is the winch located? Is there a cleat below the winch to tie off? How far below?
