Stuck Throttle
Hello, This morning (and yesterday) I was one water pump away from departure. Now it's something else. My throttle/shifter lever is stuck in forward. It will not go into neutral or reverse. Having successfully replaced the water pump on my CD28's Volvo MD7-B ( no small feat for something that sound ...

Windvane pricing
Oh yeah,
If you thinks Woas' book is pricey, have you priced windvanes lately?

Self-Steering Resources
Thanks for the interest in my system. So far, I only have it working on one point of sail, so sending in photos etc, although tempting, may be more disservice than service. Others on this board have advanced their sheet to tiller skills fare beyond where I'm at. Maybe they will weigh in with photos....

Self Steering Without a Windvane
I know this has been talked about before. But I can't resist saying that my very first sheet to tiller experiment was a great success. Using the mainsheet as control source, I got Syzygy to sail to windward on a rail in relatively light, but unsteady conditions. What a blast to charge through the Pu...

Using 2 burners
Actually, you can simmer one pot and put the other on boil. The combustion chamber is under the left-hand "burner" of the ceramic cook top. The exhaust then moves to the right through the heat exchanger giving you a gradient of heat that decreases from left to right. So the left burner is ...

Wallas Stove Pros and Cons
Hi, I installed the Wallas 85 in my Cape Dory 28. The unit, when it works as advertised, is fantastic. The combustion chamber is sealed. Air is drawn from the cabin and exhausted overboard. This airflow is wonderful for drying out the boat and keeping moisture at bay. Considering most other sources ...

Thanks
Thanks for the responses.
That should get me to the next step. I'd been looking at that bolt as a likely mounting point.

Request: Photo of CD 28 reefing hooks
Hi, New member here. What a great users group. I've found a lot of great information on this site. Thanks to all of you who contribute. I would like a little bit of help with my boat. The previous owner of my boat removed the mainsail reefing hooks. I've been using my cunningham cleat and pad-eye an...
