Typhoon Daysailer Seat Question
I'm getting our '82 Daysailer cleaned up and ready for sailing, and have a question on the seats. In the past we've never used any treatment on them, but they're looking a little peaked and I'd like to fix them up a bit. Does anyone have any recommendations on products to use? The seats are normally...

Again?
This sounds similar to the one we had in Vermont in 2002, also a MacGregor 26 with many on board:

Re: Minn Kota on Typhoon
YUP - it worked fine.... I also used a small trickle charger solar panel that has a blocking diode to keep the battery topped off... The best part about it is the boat has no motor hanging off the stern to weigh it down or detract from her looks! Dick, Thanks for the update! I like the idea of a so...

Typhoon Trolling Motor
Dick, Any updates to share on your Minn Kota experience? I just pulled the Tohatsu 3.5 off of Peanut for repair/storage, and am seriously considering trading it for a Minn Kota 50. The boat is going to be moved to our place in Maine, and with infrequent use the 4 cycle is going to be a pain to maint...

Daysailer Boom Tent
Ernie at Cloth N' Canvas made one for our Daysailer, and it's held up well for several years.

Lake Champlain / Point Bay
Chris and I sail Peanut out of Point Bay Marina in Charlotte. I heard a bird this morning when I went out to get the paper - first of the year. Launching can't be too far away now (OK, another three months, but it is closer!)

It left four old guys wide-eyed and their hearts beating far more than they should. Ah, I see the problem: four guys involved in an engineering challenge... I'll bet it got way more complicated than it needed to. Too bad we can't see the video! You did take the radome off before attempting this, ri...

Re: a-ha!
Although I don't see how I can attach the forestay with only 6' of line when the mast is horizontal. Since the masthead is forward when horizontal, there should be enough slack as you raise it. You're only going to be lifting it about 3 feet when you put it in the cuddy, and when vertical before yo...
