Typhoon daysailer boom tent

Post by putwelc »

I am getting too old to pump out my boat every time it rains, and would very much like to locate a boom tent for my Typhoon daysailer. If anyone has one to sell, or knows someone who can make one, please let me know.

Boom Tent

Tom,

I ran into these folks, who claim to have made boom tents for Daysailers - http://www.sailorstailor.com/products.asp?cat=28.

I have the original tent on my DS which keeps at least some of the water out. My local canvas maker wanted ~$900 to duplicate the original. The site above wanted ~$350, but it would require changing the mounting system.

Let me know how you make out.

Ernie at Cloth N' Canvas made one for our Daysailer, and it's held up well for several years.
