Re: Cockpit sole repair/replacement
Joe, I just replaced the cockpit sole on my 31. It literally took a few weeks of part time work. The balsa wood under the non skid was completely spongy. I replaced the wood with divinycell and then put two layers of west system epoxy and fiberglass mat. The job is long, but the results look good so...

Re: Sanitation hose replacement on CD31
i picked up the Raritan Sani Flex hose. The only place that I'm having a problem with the installation is from the bottom of the locker to the opening on top of the bilge pump. It is a very tight space and I can't get the hose through (at this point). I try it with a heat gun but the space narrow an...

Sanitation hose replacement on CD31
With great difficulty, I removed the sanitation hose on my 31. There was a kink in the hose that was difficult to get to and hard to remove. Now that the hose is out, I'd like to replace it with a more flexible hose. I would like to hear from those of you who have replace the sanitation hose. Thanks...

Re: Any thoughts or recommendations on painting hull
I have the boat 11 years. Before purchasing Bellanena, the boat was painted with algrip by the previous owner. The paint job was of poor quality, and subsequently bubbled in several spots. The boat needs a paint job since there is no gelcoat on top.

Any thoughts or recommendations on painting hull
My CD31 is closing in on 40 years old. The topside is in need of a paint job. I can't do it myself, as the work is too much for me to handle. I am looking around for a boatyard that does good work, somewhere on Long Island Sound or in the NY area. I know the cost is very high. It's either paint the ...

Installing a boom vang on CD31
I just bought a boom vang for my 31. If anyone knows the correct size boom bail and mast bail, I would appreciate the information. Thanks

Discolored Cowl Vents
I have two cowl vents on the stern that are very discolored but still good. Has anyone painted or made them look new again without replacing them? What do you suggest? Thanks.

Boat Insurance rates almost double from last year.
I have a policy with Geico/Boat US that went from $600 to over $1100 this year. They could not really explain why other than it is state approved. I love the boat, and would like another insurance company. Any suggestions?

Re: The Elusive CD 31
Hi Chris,
I have a 31. She is a beautiful boat that sails well under all conditions. There were not many made, under 100. Beautiful cabin. I prefer to cruise with 3 persons, although 4 is a tight fit.

Re: Informal Usage "Poll" - Covid Related
I haven't sailed that much this season, mainly because I am taking care of my elderly parents. I usually go to Montauk and Block in the summer, but my sailing partner can't make it this year. I do hang out on my boat very often though and plan on sailing for a few more months at least twice a week.

Re: Boat heater for CD 31
Thanks for the information. I am completing the rudder shaft stuffing box re- packing project and although I have never left the boat in the water, I am interested in doing so this winter. That's where the heater comes into play. I am cooped up in an apartment in Brooklyn, NY living with my 94 year ...

Boat heater for CD 31
I am looking into purchasing a Dickinson Propane heater for my cd31. I'm not sure where to put the propane tank, (possible in starboard lazerette.) Has anyone installed one of these in their boat? Where did you put the tank? How did you build the tank holder? Thanks in advance. Mike Davis

Re: Insurance during the crisis
The issue is if the boat is dry docked and not to be used at all this year, what insurance do I really need?
