Re: What to do?

My plan was to give Gabbiano to a good friend’s son that I had known from his adolescent days. He worked at Flag Harbor Marina and performed many repairs to Gabbiano, including the deck, installed a new engine, barrier coated the hull and many more operations. I can’t understand why potential buyers insist on “low balling” the asking price for a superb quality sailboat. I paid $28,500 for Gabbiano in 2006. That would b...

Re: Re-powering CD30C with Yanmar or Volvo

Flag Harbor Marine in St. Leonard, MD installed the Beta for me. This is the 2nd install from them. The 1st was my Cal 29. When we took boat out after install, we buried the stern. The engine beds and detailed measurements form Ben made it so much easier for the yard.

30 years plus

After over 30 years sailing the Chesapeake Bay, it's time to retire to dry land. I am the 2nd owner of Gabbiano. She has seen many upgrades as you can see by the inventory list.

Re: Re-powering CD30C with Yanmar or Volvo

Check out Ben Thomas at Oregon Marine Industries. Ben’s email is omi@integra.net. I bought my Beta BD722 from Ben a few years ago for my Cape Dory 30C. Ben provides detailed engine bed measurements and two stainless steel engine bed adapters.
