frp lpg tank
To throw another element into this conversation: I have used fiberglass propane bottles for a few years now. They are 50% lighter, rust and corrosion free, and clear so you can see how much fuel is left inside. It's really a great thing if you are looking for a propane tank to use on the water.

Re: Need For Fairing
..... Hello Brandon, Great post! very refreshing. Did not know that Awlgrip made an "Awlcraft". If I may humbly add a foot note to your fine post I would like to point out that we are looking at a substitution nuclearphilic first order reaction rate of the reactive species; and yes, those...

Re: Need For Fairing
BTW I prefer Imron, because it can be buffed. Not so with Awlgrip. Dick I believe what you mean to say is that you prefer Acrylic Urethanes over Polyester Urethanes. The Awlgrip company also makes an Acrylic Urethane that they call Awlcraft. The difference between the two, without getting long and ...

I'm back.
I'm back in Fort Lauderdale. Anyone interested in buying email me and we will arrange to meet. I'm only here until the 30th. If I can get someone down here to buy this boat by the time I leave they can help clear my 'To Do' list and save some cash.

Why I removed the engine:
I knew that I would be quitting my job sooner or later, and I thought that when I did quit my job I would take a couple of weeks off before looking for another. With this time I was going to rent out a small storage unit and happily do the work myself. Instead I got suckered into taking another job ...

not the case...
Sea Hunt, Although I do have much experience in the yachting field, that doesn't mean the work would be done already if it could have been. If any of you are familiar with the life of a Private Yacht Captain, you would be familiar with the fact that we 'yachties' don't have a personal life. I should...

understandable
but I am selling the boat 'as is'. I've stated all known issues and will not hide anything. I have faith in what I have said. If I take the time to repower myself then that will make me reconsider selling it. Neil, I appreciate and understand what you have said, but if I find the time to get the boa...

I'm convinced
Yes, I do think I may take this time between jobs to rebuild this myself. This of course is if I don't get the job I'm interviewing for this weekend. Or maybe I should just not take it... If I do the rebuild I think I might drive the engine up to my parents house in Wareham, Ma. and use their garage...

1GM woes. Why oh why?
So here I sit with a dilema. I have a CD25D that I finished making payments on in November. Because I am a private yacht Captain and am almost always everywhere but where my boat is, I haven't been able to sail her at all since I've paid it off. When I finally got a weekend to go up to the boat it w...

Waxoetry
I polished away at the pores late into the night, With extensions cords strewn from the left and to the right. It began with heavy compound and was pored on with much care, Mosquito’s and sand flies were buzzing through the air. I smacked and screamed and hollered at those voracious little bugs, Un...

Carl... yes still on the sunseeker
I just brought it down from CT. to Miami Beach. (When I was departing Ocean City, Md. I had ice flying off of my bow and crashing into my windshield (no kidding!). That was a first. I didn't get much time off this summer/ into fall. I only had one full planned weekend off. I took it off to surprise ...

Also in Florida
I also have a Cape Dory next to lighthouse point/ Hillsboro Inlet. I keep it behind a house next to the intersection of US 1 and Copans. It only takes me 5 minutes by water to get to the bridge. My boat is a CD 25D. I would be interested in joining the group. Let me know!

Back again!
Hello everyone! It's been at least a month since I've been able to check the board. Things have changed for me greatly in the past 6 weeks. Just before 4th of July I left the 110' Feadship I was working as mate on, and got my first Captains gig on a 68' Sunseeker (or Stinkpotter). It's a great job, ...
