Re: Question: Stuffing box--moldable packing
Stay away from it, and the Graphite impregnated stuff. If there is any doubt just check where Graphite is on the Cathodic/Galvanic Scale. That's my two cents.

Re: AC indicator light
Jerry if your panel is like the one that I have it is an Ideal brand light. They are neon bulbs. I replaced both of mine last year and got them off Ebay for around 5 dollars each and were a perfect match. Go to Ebay and do a search for "Ideal indicator light 125 VAC Neon" and several will ...

Re: Shaft log hose CD-33 (long sorry)
Doubleb, Replaced mine without pulling the engine. Removed the prop and pulled the log. My biggest regret is that I did not use Titanium hose clamps. Wanted to swap them at this last haul out but Titan is always sold out now and have been for a long time. Guess the military or someone must be buying...

Re: anchor windlass
Zeida, The anchor locker hatch did not appear to be strong enough to me and I did not want to modify it. I also wanted to still be able to open it easily, so I mounted it just aft of the locker opening and backed it with a nice large varnished Teak backing plate which is visible in the V-berth. As m...

Re: anchor windlass
I have a Simpson Lawrence Hyspeed 510 on my 33. Found it on Ebay for a decent price. Took it apart, cleaned, serviced and painted it. It has been working fine for about 4 years. I like the fact that some of the parts can be obtained from a good bike shop.

Russell,
Keep it coming..... Will be interested in how it comes together. You may inspire me to get off my posterior and do it myself.

Re: Hard top dodger
Russell,
Its funny that your are doing that. I have been thinking about doing the same with my 33. Was thinking of using the existing frame and using door skin to make a form for the top then laying it up over the form.

Re: Galley storage
Oh yeah Russel it looks like you have some tan color spots on the liner. I have the same. Any idea what the hell it is? It sota looks like gel coat repair with the wrong color gel coat or it changed color over time. Any ideas?
