Where can I find...?

Post by Duane Yoslov »

I'd like to a add a winch to the mast and would like to buy something similar to what the other winches are mounted to currently. The piece is a 1/8" stainless steel pad that stands the winch far enough off the mast to through bolt the winch. The winch I am adding for the gennacker is a Lewmar 7 - identical to the main halyard winch.

Does Spartan sell these or was this custom made by CD? Any suggestions as to where to buy one of these off the shelf would be appreciated.

Thanks
Duane

I would just e-mail Spartan Spars the info about what boat I had (i.e so the mast tube could be identified) at spartan@rigrite.com

They should be able to identify the base for you.

Rig Rite in Rhode Island has winch standoffs. They come in sizes, ie: length and width. Measure the location where you want to put the winch and buy accordingly. Be sure to isolate the S/S plate from the mast with a sealant as well as coating the S/S screws with locktite to isolate them also. You can find Rige Rite's address in this web site.
