CD Replacement Curtain Source?

Post by Bill Cochrane »

A few notes in the archives here point to Robinhood Marine as either a source for replacement Cape Dory portlight curtains, or as a reference to an "East Coast Embroidery" as the source. I called Robinhood yesterday and the lady who took my call said they didn't supply the curtains, and had no idea who could.

Has anyone been able to obtain replacements? Source?

Thanks, Bill

Bill,

The supplier of curtains to Cape Dory was East Coast Embroidery, R.I.
Tel. 401/434-9224, talk to "Constantine"

Orginal Cape Dory curtains are available with tabs (as a replacement)but I believe the small Cape Dory logo (half hull) on the curtain is not available.

For brand new installations, folks have had a problem locating the track, which fits the tabs. I have never been able to find the supplier of the orginal aluminium extruded track. I had installed an additional curtain on my CD26 quite some years ago using an identical track in plastic. I have recently seen the same plastic track now sold at Boaters World. Boaters World is a marine supply catalog and supply store here along the mid Atlantic coast. M+E still sells the individual tabs but not the track anymore.
