Just read the very informative article about cleaning a fuel tank in cruising world. Being that the newest cape dory is now at least ten years old, has anyone actually cleaned their fuel tank or had a service do it?

I'm currently in the process of cleaning and pressure testing the diesel tanks on my '76 CD28. I had 13 gallon cylindrical steel tanks mounted in both lazarets, port and starboard. I'm having the tanks pulled, which is easy on my boat, cleaned out, inspected with a scope-like camera, and then pressure tested over night. I'm replacing fuel lines and fittings, etc. at the same time.
