The 110 Genny that came with Morning Light is old, and the seam has parted along 5-6' of the luff after a recent bout with a northwester. Looking to buy a new one at a competive price, but don't know where to start. Need just a cruising sail that will not be pushed too hard.
Would like some advice and info using the net as a starting place. Thanks. Bill

I recently went through the same thing, trying to find a sailmaker.
Try this site: www.everythingaboutsailing.com it has a great deal of links for sailmakers, and should get you in the right direction.

I am very happy with new sails made for a Typhoon from Kappa Sails in Westbrook, CT.B. I just received a new roller furling 150 genoa from Mack Sails in Florida. I got quotes from all the major sailmakers and the local ones here in Houston. They quoted a better sail than everyone else at a lower price. They only make one kind of sail, that is with all the premium features and the best cloth. The other sailmakers charge extra for Mack's standard features. They have been used by many people on this board and I haven't heard anything bad about them. They delivered my sail ahead of schedule with no charge for shipping, and gave me great service. You can do a search on this board for Mack Sails and see for yourself. Their web site is www.macksails.com. I hope to try out my new sail this weekend. If its as good as it looks, I expect I'll be very pleased. I'll try to send out a post after I use it.
Good Luck,

I just got a new main from http://www.thesailwarehouse.com. The workmanship is excellent. They stock new and used sails. you will need to know the measurements. If you find an in stock item they will FEDEX to you second day. Good service, good product.B.
