Radio installation on CD25

I have a AM/FM cassette radio I would like to install by cutting into the bulkhead. Is this a no, no??? Has any one ever done this or does anyone have any other suggestions on where to locate it. Just for background info the speakers are locate on the bulkheads. The radio is for listening when not sailing...
