Guess I have not gotten out much. I just found out that they make teak cleats. I'm not sure I would ever use them in any real load situations but for my application it is just what I needed. Unfortunately I found this site after I planned to fashion a Jam Cleat ( for a tiller stay ) out of a thick teak hanger. Looks nice on the tiller but time will tell on functionality and wear.
