Homemade boom clamps (lazy jack)

I made some "quickie" boom clamps that snap onto the boom, prior to lowering the main. They catch the sail, similar to lazy jacks, without having any lines on the mast or boom. Take a look at the second page of my website for detail pictures and instructions.

If your boom is pretty (unlike my old beater), you'll want to line the clamps with felt or cotton to prevent scratching the finish.
