We have a CD27 and use the original CD cabin table that came with this boat. It is the double pole pedestle type that can be taken down and stored. Can anyone suggest where to store it when we are not using it? There is so much more room without it set up. We have stored it upon the closed stove where it fits quite well but then you can't get to the stove to cook. Also, what do you do with the poles when storing them?. My solution is a bigger CD but there must be a more conservative approach! We like this boat! Thanks for any suggetions.

Had the same problem on my CD26. It is a single post. Built a table
cradle/holder to the bottom of the forward vee berth ceiling. The table slides in on to two side "L" shaped teak side rails. The support edge of the rail is carved out so that the table drops into and locks into place. It will slide out only by lifting it a bit out of the locking space. We actually use the top of the table to store place mats and the plexiglass companion way "board" for those rainly days.
You can see a picture of this on my CD26 web site. Just click below and look for the vee berth picture. The post is stored in our wet locker.

Re: cabin table
The dinette table in my CD28 folds like a card table with the legs tucking underneath each of the two leafs. The folded table is then mounted vertically on the port bulkhead at the fore end of the port settee. There is a 1 inch diameter shaft mounted on the bulkhead that accepts two ring hinges so that the table can be slid sideways. It was, I suppose, the standard dinette table on the CD28 in 1980. The table is thus stowed almost completely out of the way. However, the port bunk (which is wider than the starboard) is a little shorter because of the shaft protruding into the foot of the bunk. I'm 6'3" (and wide also) so I notice the protrusion.

Re: cabin table
Linda, I have the same table on my CD 28 and we keep it in the hanging locker. The table folds and there is a bracket that accepts the flange on the table (the one that you pull when opening the two halves) and locks it into place. The two pedestals are stored on the opposite side of the hanging locker. There are two round blocks that are screwed into the floor that fit inside the tubes and then the top is secured with a bungee cord. We have used this system extensively and while it works alright I am now in the process of designing a dinette to be put in the port berth which I think will work better. Good Luck,
Russ
