Where do old Spartan Seacocks go to die?

Post by Lou Ostendorff »

I'm looking to replace a leaking ball valve on Karma's raw water engine intake at the next haulout, probably Spring '2003...a new Spartan 3/4" tapered plug seacock seems to be the ticket, but before I take the plunge and fork over my $$$, does anyone have a used one available that they removed, and happened to keep on hand for some future, higher purpose? I'd like to try my luck at restoring one to working condition by using this Board's recommendations...TIA

Lou,

I have a perfectly good Spartan seacock from our galley sink drain. I believe it is a bit larger than the 3/4in. you requested..more like 2in. But if this would be of use to you, I would be willing to sell it. Let me know if that would work.
