Naw, retirement is supposed to be FUN.
But thanks for saying so, maybe I really do have time to get to the boat this week. I sure hope I don't have to change her hailing port; that was a whole day's work to get the fading sections to match the old protected sections. If I remember correctly, Parfait had "Corpus Christi, TX" on her transom for quite a while after I bought her. She was berthed in Orange Beach, AL for years before that and hadn't been in TX for a very long time.
I think Capt. Stump's rumor is being espoused by marina owners who are trying to maintain their revenue base by telling everyone that they must redocument if the vessel is moved out of town. I have an inquiry into the USCG Documentation Center for clarification. I promise to report the results faithfully.
