Just wondering if anyone on the board has used the Hydrocoat product.I am currently using the Miron CSC product with excellant anit-fouling
properties. What I find lacking is the 'hardness' of the paint. After speaking with the Petit Technical people, it appears that Hydrocoat is a tad bit harder and has the ability to be burnished (read: wet sanded) which I will need to compete against these big bad boy C-Dorians. One big plus for me is that Hydrocoat is water based.
The other plus is that it is only $125-$140/gal while the Micron product continues to climb into the stratosphere o f around $165/gal.

Micron CSC is a wonderful product, but if we want to have our boats cleaned in the water, the professional services in the Northwest cannot touch it, as it is an ablative paint!
Now you can do it yourself-like-go figure!! (Now that is good thinking by the state of Washington!)
Instead, we use Petitt Trindad SR, which is a hard paint, and can be serviced by a professional diver. (Hey! I know I am a wimp-but the water is 58 degrees around here-and that is on a GOOD day!)
