Re: NORTHEAST FLEET RENDEZVOUS ITINERARY
Fleet Captain Michael,
Looks great!! If a skipper wanted he could be underway for a month with NE Fleet / CD sail activities
I'll try!
Thanks for the great and timely effort to get this out early, BZ.
Are we going to call the 'NJ to LI Sound Flotilla' 'EVENT ZERO POINT FIVE?

Re: NORTHEAST FLEET RENDEZVOUS ITINERARY
I was hopeful that this year's Rendezvous would be scheduled so
that some of us Cape Dory sailors at the western end of Long Island
Sound could participate in some of the events, like a race, without
having to take a week off from work. At our end of the Sound, yacht club races are always scheduled for weekends, to get the maximum amount of participation and competition. It also would have been nice to have scheduled the West Harbor raftup for Saturday, so more of us could spend an evening rafted up with our fellow CD sailors from
Eastern LIS. Most of us here are weekend sailors, and you seem to
have neglected us in your scheduling. That's very unfortunate.

Re: NORTHEAST FLEET RENDEZVOUS ITINERARY
Rich,
Our events are attended by folks coming from far and near.
Saturday will be a travel (at sea) day for many participants, including myself. In the past, rendezvous participants have sailed from as far away as Maryland to attend our events and I know of at least two boats that will be coming up from South Jersey. The tides/currents on the East River were also a factor in the scheduling as were the tides/currents at Plum Gut for the scheduling of the Eastern events. And many harbors are filled to the gills on Saturday. With most of the weekend and local crowd heading home Sunday, Sunday afternoon was the best choice in order to guarantee room for 20+ boats.
Hope you'll at least be able to join us on Sunday if you won't be able to take any vacation days. We'll also be at West Harbor all day Monday.
