I have been replacing all of the plumbing on my CD 25...
When I got to the cockpit drains and the crumy gate valves, I ran into a problem... The new ball valve (or the old gate for that matter) is so close to the drain that there is no way to install the fittings, and then bend hose in. They must have bedded the thruhulls as they put the hose in... So I am replacing those thrugh hulls since I have to pull the old ones anyway... I need two flat wrenches... One to fit the nut on the old fitting which is 2". The new one is the same diameter pipe, but the nut size is smaller, maybe 1 7/8" There is no way to get a pipe wrench on these things....
Anyone dealt with this before? I have looked around for the right tool to back these nuts off and have found nothing.... Anyone know a source for these flat wrenches? Is there a better tool for this job?
HELP!!!!
