Pressure Water System Fittings

Post by Craig Curtis »

The grey plastic elbow fitting (1/2 inch threaded male on one side, female the other)that connects a fresh water line to the underside of the sink has cracked and therefore leaks water when the pump is activated. Does anybody know who makes these or where I could get a replacement? West Marine, Boater's Discount World, Home Depot, Menards and regular plumbers have never seen such a fitting before. I'm hoping that there wasn't some marine plumbing manufacturer no longer in business that designed components that only connected with their own products.

Thanks in advance,

Craig:

If the threads are standard pipe threads, the part you describe is a "street elbow" and should be available at Home Depot or a plumbing supply house. I wouldn't get hung up on the grey plastic part; a PVC (white plastic) or bronze fitting would do fine.
