As a proud, Proud new owner of a Cape Dory Ty, this summers sailing as been most enjoyable. Others sailors here ask many questons about the boat. Many are of course familiar with CDs but have not seen the open cockpit version,(no cuddy) which I have. So my question to all here is, does anyone know how many of the open cockpit versions were actually manufactured. In my reading, I get numbers from thirty to fifty, but wish to get all the facts. Any help from the board is greatly appreciated. All have a great sail!! Thanks, Shelby.

Re: Typhoon Poll
I have two of them. I love them. Easy to sail, tons of room and just the right amount of teak. We now know of three of them. Anyone else?

Re: Typhoon Poll
Shelby,
Sorry, no facts, but I believe there were 80 total daysailers made, about 50 of the "cuddy" type and 30 of the completely open type. I have one of each and although the "open" one is in much finer condition, I cannot pick between them.
