I have recently completed a total refit of my 1984 31 cutter Cape Dory . I have taken the inside stay out and sail as a sloop. The engine was replaced with a new Yanmar. All of the original parts I replaced are in working order and are for sale. All of the cutter rigging, boom, and hardware is for sale. The engine- 18 horse three cilinder universal, elec water heater, telescope spiniker pole, a brand new survival raft in pouch, and much more, all located in Hilton Head, S.C.

Can I ask how you decided to convert to a sloop?
A few weeks ago, we were caught in a strong blow and my brand new Yankee wouldn't furl up. It thrashed itself on the club stay for about half an hour and now I need a few hundred dollars of repairs. I sort of wish that stay hadn't been there.
