CD30??

Post by David McGuire »

I am looking at a Cape Dory 30 Ketch that is for sale in Florida. Pictures show 5 portlights per side instead of 4. Table hangs on starboard side of bulkhead instead of to port. Hull looks right, but pulpit seems unusual for a Cape Dory. Did Cape Dory make a 30 with more than 8 ports, or is this a look-alike?

Any help would be appreciated before I make the trek from Cleveland to look at the boat.

Thanks very much -

I have a 1976 Cape Dory 30 Ketch which has 10 working portholes. However I can't comment on the table, mine is stored in the hanging locker. I wish you good luck, they are great boats.

DAVID, THE CD-30K UPTO 1976 WAS BUILT WITH 10 OPENING BRONZE PORTS,
AFTER THAT MODEL YEAR THEY CHANGED TO ONLY 8.

Thanks for your info. The boat ended up being sold before I could get to Florida to make a bid, but I appreciate your kind assistance.
