Fuse location access.

Post by Jack Kelley »

Recently lost running lights! Bow port & starboard as well as mast deck light. Stern light ok. Want to check fuses. Believe there location is behind interior panel of my CD 30. Each location runnning lights etc., has a reset button surrounded by a knurled knob. I thought by simply loosening the knurled knob would give access to the respective fuse, however, these knobs seem frozen in place. Any info is appreciated re: running light failure and fuse accesss.

The reset button is the circuit breaker -- the knurled ring is just the retaining nut. There aren't any fuses, the breaker does the job. If the stern light is ok, you have another problem, since all the running lights are on the same circuit. I'd look at where the bulbs plug into their sockets (clean both the points and contacts), then open up the circuit panel and look at the connections there, and then start following the wires. Good luck.
