I've noticed a couple of posts recently about dingys for small sailboats, Typhoons and CD 25s. About a month ago I purchased an <a HREF="http://www.innovakayak.com/ "> innova sunny inflatable kayak.</a
It fits nicely in the cockpit locker of a Cape Dory 25. It can be inflated and deflated form the cockpit. I have been able to board the boat from the dingy and the dingy from the boat without the use of a ladder. I have also boarded an Alberg 35 and a Morgan 34 which are only slightly more challenging.
As tenders these boats are limited. The capacity rated by the manufacturer is 396 lbs. This is a couple of people and a bag of groceries. I do not believe that more than 2 adults could be carried successfully. These boats can be wet though I'm getting better at controlling that.
They have a number of real advantages. They require no motor (there's no place to put one). They can be paddled into a reasonable amount of weather and the scoot along very nicely in flat water. They come in a backpack, which makes them very portable, and can be used to carry that bag of groceries to the beach. While I bought the boat to be a tender I find that I enjoy it as a kayak. Instead of keeping it on the boat I bring it home to use on near by lakes and rivers.

Re: Dingy for a small sailboat.
Good info. I saw these at the outdoor store and have been considering such as a dingy... and fun thing to have...
