Looking for information on the trailerability of Cape Dorys.
Does anyone trailer their Cape Dory (particularly, Typhoon Weekenders, 22s, or Typhoon Seniors)? Is it practical? About how much time does it take to setup and takedown? Can mast-raising be done by one person? If yes, do you muscle the mast up, or do you use a ginpole/winch system.
TIA,
Ed

Re: trailering a Cape Dory
Ed,
We had similar questions before purchasing our Weekender but with the proper trailer, and a few tips from this board, launch and recovery are not a problem. Once we reach the ramp it takes less than an hour to rig the boat and launch. Recovery is about the same. My wife helps with stepping the mast which is is easily done with two people.
Cheers,
Robert
