Differences of CD25 & CD25D

Post by Beth Helms »

Happy New Year to All!

Could anyone enlighten me on the differences between the CD25 and the CD25D? I think the only main difference is that the CD25D is "beamier", but I don't know!

Thanks!

By the way, it is so great to have this page. This is it, as far as I know, for the Cape Dory on the Internet, besides sales I'm sure.

Recommend you read the Practical Sailor writeup in Practical Boat buying. It's about a seven page description and comparison of the two designs. I din't have a FAX machine handy, but maybe another reader does. In short, they are different boats: the 25 is outboard powered and displaces 4000 lbs, the 25D is a diesel inboard displacing 5120 lbs with about 9 inches more beam.
