I'm looking at a CD10 on a small-craft boat lot in Salisbury, MA. According to the seller, the sailing dory is early 1970s (I believe the hull number is in the 1500s). It has a South Carolina registration number and apparently was used as a tender. Aside from the rails needing refinishing and some damage (since repaired) to the skeg, the CD10 is in decent, but not restored, shape. The seller as asking $1,500 (includes the mast, boom, sail, centerboard, rudder, outboard bracket, and canvas cover), which seems quite a bit high. Does anyone have any idea what a fair price range would be?

CD10 resale value?

Re: CD10 resale value?
Compared to other boats that you could purchase fro $1500 the CD is priced quite high. they do fetch upwards of $1000 though. I had one for 10 years and was impressed by the way it rowed and disppointed in sailing performance......although balance was good. I sold mine for $650 as I didnt want to pay $350 for a new sail. I f you want a small daysailer.....something like an oday widgeon for $400 would seem a better choice. My main complaint on the CD 10 was that it seemed to weigh far more than it's 150 pound advertised weight. Something to stare at though............
