line drawings for cape dory typhoon

I'm going to be doing a half model of the typhoon; does anyone know how to get a set of line drawings?

And for that matter, where are the molds?

We now have patterns for all the woodwork on the Typhoon (and just completed a complete set for a customer who is refurbishing his) and got to wondering if there was a market for either new Typhoons or assemble-it-yourself Ty kits. Any idea where the molds might be?

Duncan,
I thought I heard or read somewhere that Nauset Marine has the molds.

Peter:

A man named Jim Fraley in Atlanta did a half-hull model of a Typhoon for me a few years ago. I know he has the line drawings. I don't have his number, but he often advertises in Sail and Sailing magazines. He also works out of his home so he should be listed in the Atlanta directory. He does very good work, by the way.

I recently got a line drawing for the CD30 and CD28 from Andrew Burton. He uses them to build models. He may have one for the Typhoon. His address is:

Jim has moved to Florida. Ann Koch from Snug Harbor Boats can put you in contact with him. She can be reached @ 770-831-0403 or check their web site at snugharborboats.com

As I recall, somewhere on this web site Nauset Marine is stated as the current resting place of the Ty molds. I sent them an e-mail asking about the Ty molds. At first they didn't respond. Upon contacting them a second time, they simply said they are no longer making the Ty (real nice folks I'll tell ya- about as much personality as a soggy Wheat Thin. Perhaps they are tired of so many inquiries about the Typhoon)

See the conversations below (Feb 2)about Compass Yachts new version of the Typhoon now named Hurricane. They have the molds.

Yes,

But they did make one or two nice Typhoons. I saw one at the Boston Boat show a few years back. The "Nauset" Typhoon looked very nice. I still have the flyer somewhere.
