I'll be looking over a CD25 for sale. Asking price 6K. I wanted to get some advice/tips from current Dory owners. Anything I should watch out for?

There are lots of things you should watch out for with any boat purchase. Even though the boat is only 6K, you should get it survayed . This will only cost you about two hundred and fifty dollars. They will go through the boat with you and be able to educated you on any problems the boat might have. Hope this helps.

While you will be able to find a capedory 25 for 6,000, at that price it will probably need some work, unless you dont care about the beauty of the boat.
I bought a CD 25 for $7800, and i put in at least that much to make her look beautiful.
Make sure to check the condition of the toe rail and all the wood, this is expensive to replace and work on. Alos look at the condition of the sails, it might be a clue as to how hard the boat was sailed.
good luck
