Interested in opinions and views comparing 4 similar sized Carl Alberg
Designs.
The Cape Dory 36 versus the Robinhood 36.
Then a comparison between the Alberg 35 and Alberg 37.
Finally, a comparison between/among all of the above!
This is a tall order. But it is very interesting to contemplate.
It just came to me. There is the purpose for which each was done.
And then there are the modifications, etc. There is the historical
lineage. But, most of all, there are the differences in design and
subsequent performance. All are a tribute to their designer, one of
the greatest of the Alden Alumni Association! (I am an Alden fan,
and my first boat was John's last personal schooner: ABENAKI, aka-
STORMALONG/390D!) I would be glad to dialogue with anyone, especially
those who are familiar with one or MORE of the above mentioned 4 Albergs. Such speculation may be a natural for cold winter nights!!!

The Robinhood 36 is built from the same molds as the CD 36, by the same people. According to the folks at Robinhood, they are trying to make it a little better fit and finish, and maybe a little more custom, but it's essentially the same.David L.
