After 18 years the Carl Alberg designed "Pearson Ensign" is being built again. Obviously not by Pearson. I learned to sail on that boat and it sure was a honey of a boat. I LOVED it. Anyone else have fond memories of the Ensign? If you want to read the article, log on to

Re: THe Ensign Returns
Thanks for the information. We have owned our Ensign since 1977 (purchased new). It's a great boat with a huge cockpit and several very active fleets around the country. Our fleet in northern Michigan has over 50 Ensigns.Warren Kaplan wrote: After 18 years the Carl Alberg designed "Pearson Ensign" is being built again. Obviously not by Pearson. It is a great boat. Going to look at one tomorrow. My second sailboat was an Ensign, and it remains the most fun boat I've sailed (I've also owned three CDs).

I like the part that says "used boats in good condition can sell for over $10,000! How come in my area the barely get $3,000? A little spin......
