CD25D - renaming vessel request

I just sold a CD25D and current owner wants to rename her. I recall some interesting articles ( or sites) that had some real fun ( or funny) proceedures that I would like to shre with new Captain. Anyone recall the text or location of such?

Bob, the one site I know of is www.48north.com/index.htm

they have on their website online articles one of which is the denaming ritual. there are many years of sailing lore and superstitions revoling around the re naming of sailing vessels. though this can be a lot of fun, many feel that it is not a laughing matter. I plan on renaming my cd 30 and will use their script for the ceremony. On this I won't press my luck. the point is have fun and be safe! I'am sure others will resond to your query. Do you plan on getting another vessel?
