I use one on my CD26. I think it is invaluable - for motoring. I find it essentially useless for sailing, as it's response to a call for control input under sail is hopelessly too slow. Still, I wouldn't want to go out on a week-long cruise without one, as it steers the boat under power just fine. Here in Washington state, the summer winds are often very light and one ends up having to motor quite a bit.
